Windows update KB927891 crashes my system

Windows update KB927891 crashes my system when I click
on "My Computer". When I back it out, the problem is gone.
Happened twice, restored system twice. OK now but it will try to update
from now until doomsday... Any ideas? Thanks!

I have the same problem. Had to travel from Europe to USA to rebuild server
due to KB927891. I didn't press My Computer. It just crashed in the middle
of something soon after restarting.
Came up with C is corrupt and something with services.exe Shortly thereafter
blue screen:
I got Stop error:0x0000001E (0xC0000047, 0x8042F186, 0x00000007, 0x8042DBBA)

Running checkdisk gave a bunch of deleting corrupt attrition records (128, "")

System windows 2000 server, locked down (Webserver) Dell PE2650
