Windows Update Error

Hi all, i have a problem with Windows Update where i can
select either of these options (as it both brings up the
same error)
Express Install (Recommended): High Priority Updates
for Your Computer

Custom Install: High Priority and Optional Updates for
Your Computer

and i get this error

SOAPCLIENT_PARSE_ERROR failed in parsing responseError
Number: 0x8024400A

Should note im running IE version 6.0.2900.2055
that would be Windows XP Pro, SP2 Beta. AMD XP 1800,
512mb ram, Geforce4 Ti4200, 200gb hdd.
Can anybody help me? (other than telling me to uninstall
SP2, hehe)
