Windows update error

I kep getting an error on Windows update for windows 2000
professional. I can clcik on scan for updates and this is
the error code I get...0x800a138f. can somebody give me
some insite. i have searched the knowledge base and came
up with nothing. I'mnot able to do any updates at the
present time. Thank for the help.

dear sir,

I meet the same problem only sign 0x80072ee2 not same as
yours. Have you got any information from someone? Also if
I get clues I will advise you asap.

Event viewer may give you another error code. You can try searching the
update page for both codes.
On the update page under Other Options, click on Get help and support.
On the Help and support page is a link to the Windows Update Troubleshooter.
One or other of the errors may be on the list.
