windows update does not execute

Funny thing that only windows update and microsoft.com
support webpages are suppressed in the IE6 XP Home
browser. MSN 8 was installed incorrectly and removed.
There is no virus detected with a current norton scan.
The pages activate with a status bar and then remain
blank.

Set your security options to thier defaults.

ie. Tools > Internet Options > Security
