Windows terminal service licensing + license server

Hi, there
We already have Windows 2000 server (10 CALs), all clients machines
are Windows 2000 Pro.

In order to use Terminal services in Application mode, what license we
need buy?

Can "license server" be installed on the same machine with the
Terminal service?

Can we have more than one "license server" if they are in different
domains?

Thanks.

For each terminal services user you have, you need to have
a TSCAL and a CAL. The TSCAL is licensed per device and
the CAL is licensed on concurrent users.

The license server must be installed on your domain
controller, if you are in AD, or on a member Windows 2000
server if you are in a workgroup.

You can put a license server in a different domain if
you'd like. Just make sure you install licenses onto your
license server.

Ack...correction:
For each terminal services DEVICE you have, you need to
have a TSCAL. For each terminal services USER you have,
you need to have a CAL.

Thus if you have 5 users, who all use the same machine to
connect to the terminal server, you only need one TSCAL.
If you have 5 TS users who connection from 5 different
machines, then you need 5 TSCALs. CALs are licensed by
concurrent usage, so if you have 5 users, but only 3 of
them using your terminal server at any one time, you only
need 3 CALs.

Sorry about that.
