Windows startup problem

C

cpft1

When I start my computer Windows will not start.
I get the following message: "A disk read error
occurred. Press Ctrl + Alt + Del to restart."
When I restart I get the same message. Does anyone
know what the problem is and how to fix it. Thanks.

find out the make of your hard drive and download a hardware checker from
their website. i suspect that your hard drive is broken and that you will
need a new one which means all your data is lost but try the diagnostic
utility that i suggest, for instance, maxtor make a utility called
'maxblast'.
