windows product activation

Hello

I think i deleted a program from my system files as when i restart my
notebook, i keep getting a message stating that:

This copy of windows must be activated with microsoft before you can log on.
Do you want to activate windows now?

When i press OK, i get a windows product activation message, and then i get
a message stating that: Windows is already activated, and then: click OK to
exit. When i log off, the sytem keeps logging off to the log on screen, and
when i log on again the inital message of: This copy of windows must be
activated with microsft, etc... etc...

I have tried to restart my pc, and tried stytem restore but to no avail.
Can anyone help!!!

I have lost my desk top programes and am finding impossible to access most
of my programmes.

Try this solution, posted by Carey Frisch, MS-MVP:

Possible Resolution:

Boot into "Safe Mode" by pressing (F8) during a reboot.

Go to Start > Run and type: regsvr32 regwizc.dll , and hit enter.
Then go again to Start > Run and type: regsvr32 licdll.dll , and
hit enter again.
