Windows picture and fax veiwer cant view faxes

When I try to view my faxes I get the error "the fax document cannot be
displayed because your operating system does not have a default viewer for
fax documents (tif files)". Yet when I view a picture in my pictures folder
the picture and fax viewer opens it ok.This trouble started after I
installed software for a digital camera.
Have tried regsvr32 /shimgvw.dll
Anyone help??

Have you tried right clicking on the tiff file and select open with? If
not. in the menu that opens, select open with/choose program. Select
Windows Picture and Fax Viewer and check the alway use....
