Helo!
I`ve the same problem - no import option :(
I do run CCleaner and Free Registry Cleaner all the time.
How to resolve this problem?

My guess is that the registry cleaner you use may have wiped out one or more registry keys (GUID or associated AppID data) related to WPG Import dialog. Does the registry cleaner you use has an "undo" feature?

It's not the registry cleaners, as I tested both and can't replicate the problem. Try this:

Open an elevated command prompt. To do this, click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password, or click Allow.

Type the following command, and then press ENTER:

sfc /scannow

The sfc /scannow command scans all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with correct Microsoft versions.

Thanks for your advice Ramesh but sfc/scannow command doesn`t help :-(
Verification stops on 85% and there is a signature: "Windows resource
protection could not perform the requested operation".
Of course import tab in Windows Photo Gallery is still blank :-(
