windows password

I do not have a password on my machine yet when I bring the system up
(either re-boot or from standby) I get the password screen. With no
password leave it blank, but want to get rid of the password request window
altogether.

How can I do that?

Thanks, but when I use the welcome screen won't I have to click on my user
name, even though I'm the only user on the machine?

Hello , Try Start / Control Panel / User accounts / Change the way users log
on and off / check the box "Use the Welcome screen" / leave the "Use Fast
User Switching" unchecked . Good luck " Eddie G "
