Windows or Outlook problem?

Hi all,

Have a friend who's running win2000 pro. and since updating all the
security patches a few weeks ago for her (first time in since initial
install over a year ago), she's having lots of little problems... the
most significant is that her 3rd party imaging program that is suppose
to be able to attach an image file to an email and send it isn't
working.. Is that a windows problem or an outlook problem, or ????

the other thing is that when creating the email window for outgoing
emails, there is no "Send" button, ??? hard to send email without
it.

any ideas about what to check out?

do I need to just reinstall Outlook for her? If so, do I need to
unistall it first or just install over the current installation? I
assume I can do that from the microsoft update site. ?

I'm pretty sure she has Outlook Express v6

thanks for any help,

niteowl

Hi - if she's running Outlook Express, best to post in an Outlook Express
group.

Try posting in one of these newsgroups:
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie5.outlookexpress for OE 5.x
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie55.outlookexpress for OE 5.5x
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress for OE 6.x
microsoft.public.internet.outlookexpress.mac for OE for Macintosh

If those groups aren't carried on the news server that's carrying this group
try using msnews.microsoft.com (MS's public news server that's the source
for all the microsoft.public newsgroups).

A good website for information on OE is:
http://www.tomsterdam.com/
