Windows Media Player

I have WinXP, and today when I went to open a .wmv attachment to an e-mail,
in Windows Media Player I got sound, but no picture. I had this problem
once in the past, but I've had my hard drive complete formatted since then,
and have not had any problem. Any suggestions?

Well, I tried saving it to My Videos, and tried to play it from there, but
it tries to play in Windows Media Player, and that's where I can only get
sound, no video. Is there some other place I should save it, and/or another
way to open it?

Once you have a stand-alone file in a directory you have rights to it
shouldn't matter. The object of the exercise was to remove one level
of possible confusion by getting it out of your email system.

If you have any other video player, you can run that program and then
try to open the file using the program's file->open sequence.
