Windows Media Player will Not Open

I just recently downloaded Winamp, and after I installed
it, my Windows Media Player (9) would not open. I have
since un-installed Winamp, and WMP will still not open.
When I try to open up a audio or video file, nothing
happens. What must I do to get it to open up again.

Go to WMP9 home page,download and reinstall WMP,it'll
extract the old and install new copy.
