Windows Media Player 11 & Task Bar conflict

Just downloaded WMP11. Generally fine, however I have my xp taskbar on
'auto-hide' but when in WMP11 it will not display. I have to minimise WMP to
access the taskbar... Is this a known fault with this version of WMP?

UPDATE...

If i hit the windows key on the keyboard the taskbar appears. If i then
click back into WMP the task bar disappears and it will not re-appear.

If i select 'show classic menus', then hit the windows key and then click
back into WMP the task bar works as it should, even if I switch the classic
menus off.

However if i minimise WMP and then Maximise again, we're back to square one
and I have to go through the procedure above to get the taskbar working
again...

It's not something I can reproduce. Perhaps an issue with your video
driver(?)

What boxes do you have checked on the Tools > Option >Player dialog tab?

The only boxes checked are -

Download codecs automatically
Add media files to library when played
Start the mini player for file names that contain this text

I did think i might be somekind of 'always on top' setting but this is
un-checked.

The laptop i'm using is fairly new and very reliable and i've had no
problems with any software before, including previous versions of media
player.
I'll just leave the classic menus on as the problem only occurs without them.
