I have this error on a Winxp machine.

"Windows cannot display the properties of this
connection. The Windows Management Instrumentation
information might be corrupted. To complete this use
System Restore to restore windows to an earlier point in
time (called a restore point) System Restore is located
in System Tools in Accessories."

Well, I had set up some previous points in time at that
system restore point and it will not restore them. Is
there another way around this...

You can boot up to your XP CD and run a OS Repair. After you boot up to the
cd its not the first repair that you come to its the 2nd repair that you
come to. Its after you press F8 to agree to the Lisc.
