Windows Mail

i am trying to send and receive on windows mail, i was able to do this
yesterday but today it wont connect, my connection is fine as i'm on the
internet but it wont connect to my mail. after 60seconds it comes up 'Your
SMTP server has not responded would you like to wait another 60 seconds'. i
have not altered or added anything since i was able to send and receive.

Who is your ISP?

Which antivirus software are you using?


Please include the full error message with diagnostic codes.

See if you can access your account using Webmail.
If your ISP doesn't have webmail access, you can use www.Web2Mail.com .
This sounds like an ISP problem.

Thanks to JP & YR the following solved it for me:

go to email TOOLS
click on ACCOUNTS
on every one of your accounts do the following:

Click on one account
click on PROPERTIES on the right hand side

In the new window click on the ADVANCED Tab
In the "Outgoing mail (SMTP): window change the figure 25 to 587
Click on OK

When all accounts have been done., you should have recovered from this silly
problem.
