I use windows mail and have duplicated entries in my contacts list. The
contacts list seems to be what we called Address Book in XP.

How can I remove the duplicated address's.

Open your Contacts, highlight the entry, right-click and select Delete (or
press Delete key)

When I do the above, the window closes and nothing is deleated.
