windows mail with aim mail

Hi all,
Iuse windows mail with aim mail. It was working fine . Nowmy aim mail is
sending the same message over & over until I go to aim mail & delete them. Is
it the web site or is it windows mail. Thank for help

I do not understand how it is that deleting a message in AIM has any affect
on Windows Mail sending a message. Probably there is a relevant detail that
you did not mention.

Are you using IMAP or POP3 for Windows Mail for your AIM Mail? Probably
IMAP, which is more complicated than POP3.

If there is a bug in anything, it is more likely AIM Mail. My AIM Mail
account seems to have never worked totally correctly, and I assume it is an
AIM Mail problem but I suppose it could be that WinMail is in error.

As I indicated previously, I seem to have always had a problem downloading
messages from AIM. I use IMAP. The warning said something about
synchronizing folders. In my Tools menu is "IMAP Folders...". When I go
there, there is a button at the right side that says "Reset List". I clicked
the button and it did some stuff. Then I downloaded messages for the account
and I finally got no errors or warnings. So try using "Tools | IMAP
Folders..." and clicking the "Reset List" button.

If you are using the POP3 protocol with AIM, the blame for this problem
is most likely due to the server. AOL/AIM wants users to quit using POP3.

AOL/AIM recommends using IMAP instead of POP3, see
http://about.aol.com/faq/openmailaccess#OE6

Those instructions were written for Outlook Express, but
Windows Mail uses the same settings as Outlook Express.
