Windows Log on

When installing new software the system rebooted. When
Winsoes 2000 restarted I receive and error message which
says
"The System could not log you on. Make sure your User name
and domain are correct....etc "

These are correct but I cannot get past this screen. Can I
bypass this log on screen and reset the system somehow?

Key F8 on bootup and select 'last known good
configuration' and press enter, this may sort your problem.

Do you have permission to instal software on your pc ?

If you log on to a domain it is likely that you do not
have permission to add software, thus causing a error log
at the server, which may bar you from logging on, contact
administrator if this is the case.
