Windows Live OneCare

I am thinking of installing Windows Live OneCare in place of Zone Alarm (I
have XP). Would that be a good move? Someone said Word wouldn't work when
OneCare was installed. Could that be? Any special advice about this move?
Thanks.

Why do you want to do this? Are you unhappy with what you have now? In what
way to you expect Windows Live OneCare to be better?

I have no experience with Windows Live OneCare, so I have no opinion, other
than to say that I don't approve of making *any* changes unless you have
clearly identified a good reason for them.

No. It's false.

John, I've used Windows Live OneCare and, personally, i can't see any reason
for moving from your present setup. Zone Alarm is far better than anything
Live Onecare has. I assume you already have anti virus cover? You can also
download Windows Defender from the Microsoft download site, so you are not
missing out on spyware/malware cover.

I found it slow to load and i don't like the idea of being able to download
a small setup file and then have to log onto the internet without anti virus
cover while Live OneCare actually installs the application.

If a thing is working fine, then leave it alone.

Forgot to mention that Word works perfectly well with Live Onecare. Well my
copy of Word 2007 did, anyway.
