Live OneCare

I bought Live OneCare for practically nothing from CompUSA, but my
problem is that the documentation says it is a one-year subscription and
Live OneCare keeps reminding me that it is going to expire at the end of
three months. Is there some place at Microsoft where I can complain
about this?

It sounds like you installed the One Care trial. Use the Activate button in
the One Care console to begin the registration and activation process.

You might also try asking the manager of that CompUSA store why you were
"sold" an 90-day Evaluation license, which is already free directly from
Microsoft.

As with Norton's and McAfee's Live OneCare is subscription based.

There is a three month "grace" period to activate the product and you are
permitted to install on three computers

Current retail price is $49.95 - but has been available for as low as $10.

And if you bought it to install on your new Vista 64, forget it. It does
not say so on the box anywhere, but it is incompatible with any 64 bit
system. Just like them to release the product with a state-of-the-art
operating system it cannot protect. Sorry I was no help. Just venting.
