Windows Live One Care and Security in Vista Premium??

After reading the posts about Norton 2008 products causing problems with
Vista Premium, I was reading about Windows OneCare an Defender in Vista. Are
these two programs enough to protect my New Desktop with Vista Premium and
AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+?? I will load load Adware SE Plus for spyware if that
will not cause problems. Norton Internet Suite 2008 has a program called
Idenity Id that saves Passwords, is there a program in Vista that does that??
Thanks for all the help guys this is the first major PC buy for me an Im
trying to learn how to keep it all safe. I use DSL to go on line. Again I
thank everyone for their help an knowledge.Be safe ab have a great weekend.

The OneCare 2.0 beta will work on Vista X64. If you install OneCare, it includes
the antimalware functions of Defender, so it will disable Defender in Vista. (If
you uninstall OneCare, Defender is once again enabled.) The same is true for the
Windows Firewall. The OneCare firewall and configuration through OneCare
replaces the Windows firewall.
You can install AdAware, but don't install the real time adware protection,
simply use it to scan on demand as desired.
At the end of the 2.0 beta, if you choose to subscribe to OneCare, you'll need
to uninstall the beta and install the trial version when it is released.
