Using IE6 and XP Home. All of a sudden whenever I do a search from my
Google Tool Bar I get a quick pop up Windows Installer box...indicating an
installation. It disappears quickly and my search results page then
appears. I find it annoying. Is there a way to eliminate the Windows
Installer window from appearing? Thanks in advance, Fran
 
Look for wininit.ini and rename it wininit.old
Reboot.
If all is well you can delete it. It may be a file left over from previous
installation.
