Windows Installer

My boss asked me to look up this issue he is having everytime he
remotes into someones computer and logs into the guys name (account).
Windows Installer pops up and says its going to try to install
something but then, another pop up comes up and says its on a cd-rom
that it can't be installed and asks for the path. The only way we can
get out of this is through the Task Manager. Then he goes on to try to
install the program we are needing to put onto the machine and windows
install comes up again, but freezes in the middle of setup. Does
anyone have any ideas or suggestions?
