Windows Installer problem

I'm trying to install An AutoCAD update & I get this error:


The Windows Installer Service could not be accessed. This can occur if your
are running Windows in Safe Mode or if the Windows Installer is not correctly
installed. Contact your support personnel for assistance.

So I went to Windows Update page & selected "Cutsom" After I clicked Custom
I get this:

The webiste has encountered a prblem and connot dosplay the page you are
trying to view. Take the following steps to try solving the problem:

Refresh the page.

In Internet Explorer, delte the Temporary Internet Files by going to the
Tools menu and clicking Internet Options.

Close and then re-start Internet Explorer.

So I delete my Temporary Internet Files like they asked about. And that
still didn't work. So I went to the Microsoft webiste & download Windows
Installer 3.1 Redistributable (v2). During the installation I get this error
messgae:

Setup could not verify the integrity of the Update.inf. Make sure the
Cryptogrpahic service is running on this computer. DO you know what is going
on, on my machine? Thanks for the help.

this can sometimes fix this sort of Installer problem, then try to
reinstall the installer

I believe Windows Update relies on built-in certificates to verify
digital signatures on windows updates. At this point, a wipe and
reload may be in order.

Could be an indication that the cryptographic service isn't working properly

Method 2: Set Cryptographic Services to automatic

If the cryptographic services is okay, perhaps you may need to rename the
Catroot2 folder
