windows firewall problem

i went and got the microsoft antispyware beta 1,which is actualy better than
the one i paid for,but now my windows sp2 firewall will not connect it stays
disabled.....WHY????

MS antispyware tool disables Windows Firewall (or to reset firewall):
Start>Run cmd [enter]
netsh winsock reset catalog [enter]
Follow prompts and reboot.

I reinstalled MS antispyware on my SP2 system a few days ago and it didn't
disable my Windows firewall. Does it make a difference that I originally
used a Windows XP SP2 installation disk to install Windows on that machine?
