Windows File Protection Error & Various Runtime Errors With Install Shield

Jon

I keep getting the WFP Error: "Files that are required for
Windows to run properly must be copied to the DLL cache.
Insert Win XP Pro CD" but when I put the CD in it tells me
that it's the incorrect CD or the CD drive isn't working.

Furthermore I cannot install various programs due to a
runtime scripting error that pops up with varous error
numbers (1608, 1607, etc.) and they are due to the Windows
InstallShield.

I've read the various KB articles, but hit a dead-end
since I am on XP. Any ideas???

Somewhere i saw you need to copy the SP1 for xp to a cd
then copy the xp cd to that, then the cdrom will read
properly. Then you run Sfc /Scannow in cmd
