Windows Explorer, Win2000 weirdness, 2 different looks

View > Details is selected. We get 2 different "looks" for Windows
Explorer on Windows 2000 machines in our organization. On some
machines on the right hand pane, just before the Name, Size, Type, and
Modified columns, there is a big Windows icon along with foldername
text of whichever folder is selected on the left pane. And on other
machines this icon and text is not present, just the columns. My
question is how do I make the big icon and text dissappear?

Open up My Computer or My Documents and select Folder Options from the Tools
menu. Select "Use windows classic folders" under Web View.

That should do the trick.

Open explorer on the "problem" computer and go to tools - folder options. On
the General tab - web view section select "use Windows classic folders. Then
go to the "view" tab and click on "like current folder"
