Windows Explorer has become part of my Desktop

Hi,

I'm running Windows XP SP1 and don't remember any
particular incident that caused this but the left side of
Windows Explorer has become part of my desktop. The part
I'm talking about is the left column that has the
headings "Folder Tasks", "Other Places", and "Details",
not the folders tree. When I click to enter Windows
Explorer, icon or file "explorer.exe", it brings me to
the Desktop. The left side is like I mentioned above and
the right is the Desktop. Also, when I click "Folder
Options" and "Task Bar & Start Menu" in the Control Panel
nothing opens. I've tried every setting I could find but
nothing brings my Desktop back to normal. I figure it
must be a setting as I've turned off every TSR to no
avail. I did log on to the Guest personality and it
dosen't have the problem so that's why I figure it's a
setting localized to my personality. Has anyone seen this
before? Better yet, does anyone know how to correct it?

Thanks,
Steve
