Windows Errors?

E

^~Edd~^

Playing jigsaw puzzles at shockwave.com .... getting error codes that will
not let user access scoreboards ... error codes such as ...."
"Director Player Error."
" Cast Member Not Found."
"Object Expected" and also:
"This shockwave movie has errors that have caused playback problems. Please
contact the author of this content regarding this problem. Shockwave is
unable to continue".

Are these Microsoft or Windows error messages? Or are they internal
shockwave error alerts? Tech crew at Shockwave is unable or unwilling to
help .. even after a years worth of letters to them.
This is the 4th time this has happened on 4 different computers. I even went
to the expense to buy a new computer so I can access the scoreboard and do
the jigsaw puzzles. Now recently it has happened again in the new computer
not 7 months old. The new machine is XP but two of the previous machines
were Win98. Same problem.

Could the registry be getting corrupted and causing this problem? Any help
or suggestions will be greatly appreciated ... the wife is getting desperate
!!!!

Hi Edd,

Those messages are _clearly_Macromedia Director's messages and don't
have anything at all to do with Windows. I suggest you get a book and
learn about 'lingo' the lenguage used in Director programs and
commands, which are published in web pages as Shockwave.

Google will supply you with online tutorials about lingo, and you can
go to this newsgroup when you have doubts about the program or the
'lingo' language:

alt.multimedia.director

Hope this helps.
