Windows Desktop Search - disable ??

A

Andy

Please could anyone help me. I want to stop WDS (windows desktop search)
once and for all. I have read articles in Microsoft on how to do it but
it seems so complicated for an intermediate like me !

It uses all my resources and the CPU is at 100% for long periods,
searchindexer.exe and searchprotocol.exe and other searchxxxxx.exe in
task manager seem to be the problem.

I have tried for a week to get rid of WDS with no luck. It seems to have
installed itself when i changed from Outlook Express to Outlook ??

Many Thanks,
Andrew
