Windows defender requires GDI+

Hi
I get the following message after downloading and trying to install the
update.

Windows defender requires GDI+. Please load the Windows 2000 Security
Sofware PreRequiste pack.

What does this mean and how do I proceed?

Hi Bill,
now it won't update and I tried what MS recomended but it still won't update
the difinations. Bob
