Windows Defender is driving me up the wall!

I keep getting a Microsoft Update for Windows Defender and I've installed
this thing 20 times already. I'm also getting messages of failure in the
Event Log:
"Product: Windows Defender Signatures - Update
'{2585CD31-88AC-4E7C-BDD9-74C173DFD210}' could not be installed. Error code
1603. "

Please Help!!

Apply the steps in this KB article:

Then retry the update.
