I run win xp home edt
On the addd and remove section when i click the box add/remove windows
components i get the following message
Setup was unable to load the master information file
How do i get round this problem do i need to reload the master information
file and if so where would i find it

Any help please

thanks Prasad followed your info had to expand a few inf file
I now get a message saying the comnt5.inf is missing but i cant find it on
my cd

See if you can get to the Add/Remove window by doing the following:

START--Click on HELP & SUPPORT. When that opens click on INDEX on the top
menu. Then enter ADD REMOVE PROGRAMS. When that index come up click on
OVERVIEW then click on DISPLAY. In the information on the right side of the
screen you should see a place you can click on to go there. If that doesn't
work and you get the same errors, then you obviously have some files
corrupted or ??
