Windows cannot load the cdrom drivers required.

I had a fully working CD RW drive. I then put in my
Visual Studio .NET prerequisites CD which told me
to insert my VS.NET installation CD 1. I did this - the
computer then asked to be restarted, which i did. When
windows was loaded up after restarting i could no longer
see my D: (CDROM) drive in my explorer. I have
troubleshooted by it just tells me that Windows cannot
load the drivers required. I have searched for the correct
drivers but all the ones i have found have not rectified
the situation. My CDRom is a Panasonic(MATSHITA UJDD420).
Please help!!!!!!
