No cdrom drive

Hi I installed a fresh copy of Win 2000 Pro by booting up from the cd.
At one stage of installation it ask for some files, but could not find
it as cannot access the cdrom drive. I press ignore. The installation
proceeded.

Now when I am in Windows 2000, I do not see any cdrom drive icon. I
can't access the cdrom drive to install programs.

On bootup, the bios screen shows cdrom drive ok.

Thanks

Check your Device Manager and make sure that you have drivers
both for the primary and the secondary IDE controller. If one is
missing, and if you need access to the CD drive in order to fix
the problem then you can connect the CD drive as a slave drive
to the primary IDE controller.
