windows 98 to XP and my ethernet

Just installed XP on my desktop puter, it does not recognize my network
adapter (which is a microsoft PCI Adapter MN-130) and I therefore cannot
connect to the internet....my device manager lists my ethernet card under
"other devices" and says I need a driver but I cannot find one and am pretty
sure I do not need one upon further investigation. The wizard is of no help
since I cannot access the internet.
I also cannot network to my recently purchased laptop which makes me wanna
pull my hair out.

Help!

Trust me - if the MN-130 is showing up under "Other Devices" then you need a
driver for it. They should be available at microsoft.com or on the CD that
came with the unit.
