Have a Dell Vostro laptop with Windows 7 Professional.

I did download and install Windows Live Mail.

I use Verizon Mobile Broadband (USB).

Whenever I start to use Mail, my Broadband connection disconnects, after a
short time?

When I use the Internet Browser, I have no problems.

Has anyone seen this before and are there any fixes?

thx ahead

Go to Tools, Accounts, select your mail account, Properties, Connection.
What does it show for connection?
You must either leave that unselected (in which case WM will use whatever
connection IE uses), or else select the Local Area Network.

Also, under Tools, Options, Connection, the first box should be checked,
and the second box unchecked.

Note: Issues specific to Windows Live Mail should be posted in the WLM newsgroup:

http://www.microsoft.com/communitie...dg=microsoft.public.windows.live.mail.desktop
or via your news reader: news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.windows.live.mail.desktop

OT: One can only imagine what a zoo, e.g., microsoft.public.windows7.mail
newsgroup would be! This one's bad enough.

Yeah, the Windows Live Mail newsgroup is starting to get hit with a
lot of Windows 7 related questions.

Lemme guess: "The Mail button in IE8 [or Send To or email link] doesn't
work" are 99% of the posts from Win7 users?

If it's any consolation the send to function with Ubuntu / Thunderbird
can be a PTIA also, as can be mailto: links.

If it is "greyed out" they have to select a default mail program - then it
should be active. Those Send Link / Send Page options are located under the
"Page" toolbar item.
