Now these servers are configured for per seat licence.

Exchange 2000 Server
Per Seat Allocated 1149
Per Server Reached 776

Windows Server
Per Seat Allocated 969
Per Server Reached 91

From just this information i can see that there are plenty of licences
available. But Event Id 202 started to pop up.

Before the last Shut Down i revoked everyone's licences thinking that when
they log in again they will get new licences. THAT DIDNT WORK OUT SO
GOOD....

After restart, ALL USERS NOW HAVE UNLICENCED USAGE.

At this moment ALL users are Unlicenced and 0 have licenced usage.

In another test i created a new user and he gets a good licence. when that
user's licence is DELETED and he loggs in again he ALSO gets UNLICENCED
USAGE error.

anyone know how to reset this so that people logging in will get a new
licence when they log in and it be licenced usage?

thanks

Quick answer - stop and disable the license logging service. It's buggy and
isn't mandatory. Keep track of your licenses manually. Outlook is a known
culprit for not releasing licenses when closed, as well.

Thank You Lanwench, i did read that somewhere also, but what other thing can
i do to make the licence server give out licences correctly? is there
something that can be done to reset everything to 0 and start issuing
licences when they log in next?

thanks

As I said, the service is buggy, and I don't use it, so I can't tell you how
to fix it other than to not use it.
