Windows 2000 Server shares

Matt

I'm having problems with Windows 98 clients accessing file
and print shares on my 2000 server. If I reboot the server
it will work for a few hours then stops. I know that WINS
and DNS are working because I can ping the server using
both the netbios name and the domain name. I can also ping
the IP address of the server and have no packet loss. I
cannot find the server using either the IP address or the
netbios name. It works just fine with Windows XP Pro
clients. Also, from the 2000 server, if I try to find
shared folders on a Windows 98 machine I can't see those
shares either. Any ideas where to look.

Thanks

Check the ipconfig/all from the clients. Is everything pointing to your
server-IP?
How many nics in the server? Does the DNS on the nic(s) point to your
server-IP?
If you have 2 nics in the server and are using RRAS, did you apply the
regedits in 292822?
