Windows 2000 recovery procedure stops for error A2210

The problem is concerning windows 2000 installation
recovery using cdrom and emergency floppy disk:
1) during boot phase: ntldr missing
2) using emergency floppy: impossible to complete the
recovery due to internal inconsistence. (A2210)
Even if you reinstall windows on a new folder of the same
hard disk windows does not start !!!
we are trying on a second disk....

It definitely sounds like it is hardware-related ... if you even a new
install to the drive is unsuccessful. Please provide us with an update. If
you need further assistance, let us know.
