Windows 2000 Fax Servcie Setup Problem

I am trying to set up windows 2000 fax servcie with a U.S. Robotics Sporster
28,800 v.34 and get the following error when trying to start the service:

"Could not start the "Fax Service service on Local Computer."
"Error 1058: The service cannot be started , either because it is disabled
or because it has no enabled
devices associated with it."

I have searched everywhere for error 1058 and can't find anything.
I have checked the 2000 HCL and its on it.

not sure why this error message is appearing.

Thanks, that fixed it!

I guess I didn't search the MS archives very well.

That was the problem specifically.

I had tried that with a previous problem when trying to
create the log on but didn't try it again when I got to
the 1058 error.
