Windows 2000 Boots, Logs In ..After loading ..Restarts and this repeats

Hi Experts over their,

I am facing this weired problem with my windows 200 desktop in recent
time.

Basically what is happening is when I start my desktop computer windows
2000 i.e.

1. Power on
2. Books up and loads all profile, security
3. Prompts for logon screen ( i give user name/passwd)
4. After i logging in it loads all the personal profiles and I see the
desktop with all my desktop icons and all tool bar and icons and while
its still about to complete all loading..
5. It restarts automatically without any notice. Then steps no. 2
through 5 happens repeatedly.

As an alternative when its booting up i tried to login in SAFE mode and
it is loging in without any problem.

I never had this problem before. I have checked for any virsus and
there is none.

Any response or pointers will be appreciated.

If you can boot into Safe Mode then your problem is caused by
something that only loads in normal mode. Unplug all your non-essential
adapters (network, sound, modem) and see if this solves the problem.
Run msconfig.exe and disable the startup tasks one by one (or two by
two!) until you find the culprit.

Also check Event Viewer for errors, Device Manager for problems/error codes.
