window size

I have xp home edition. I just purchased a 17 inch lcd
monitor to replace my big 17 monitor. The screen
resolution was 800x600 and is now 1280x1024. Some of my
email comes in smaller and doesn't fill the whole screen.
Other programs (weatherbug) comes up alot smaller. How do
I get these programs and email to come out larger so that
I can see them better. Not all email comes in small. Just
stuff like a news page from cnn. Thanks

You can change the resolution as follows:
Open Control Panel, open Display, go to the Settings tab and you will see a
slider wherein you can change resolution. Or, you can use a larger style
font. At the settings tab, under DPI, change to large size.

I did resize the resolution and the font size but some of
the web pages still come out small or looking skinny on
the page

Web pages are a different issue and are, for the most part governed by how
they were created.

Here's something you can try. Open Internet Explorer, go to Tools, select
Internet Options, click Accessibility, place a check next to "Ignore font
styles specified on Web pages" and Ignore font sizes specified on Web
pages," and click ok and see if that helps.

It worked for my email where web pages come through on my
email pages. It didn't work on my program called
weatherbug. It is a screen that pops up to show the
weather and radar and such when I open the program. When
I had my other monitor with the lower resolution it came
up much larger when I opened it. It doesn't have options
to make the screen bigger on that program. Thanks

You might want to contact Weatherbug's tech support.
