Window page not opening to full size

I use a Dell Inspiron 1501 OS Win XP Home Edition.

When I open a web page it will open in small size except for my home page
which will open full size. To get the page to open in full size I click the
maximun butten in upper rt corner.
I have received other info to correct this but it didnt work, "Open the page
as normally do, place mouse on edges untill you see a double arrow and drag
the edges to the full size. In the upper left corner of page click on FILE
and select CLOSE. The next time you open a page it will open in full."

As you drag the edges to full size, keep pressing the "Ctrl" key.

Try stretching the small window to full size. (Do not use Maximize)
Ensure that window is the last one closed and IE should remember the
size next time.

In order for the window size to be saved, it must be the last window of that
app. on the desktop.
