I have a Win2k Server SP4 and Win XP Pro SP1 Attmpting
to apply OU GPO to the XP Pro machine but it ignores the
policies.. Policies work fine between Win2k Server and
Win2k Pro machines... I have heard that there is a fix
available on Win2003 Server disk to address just this
issue, any truth or can you offer any help or advice?

Hello Jim,

I have the same problem, the reason was incorrect DNS address in the
properties of the "Local Area Connection".

Try to look at the application event log. It has to say something about it.

If the above does not help enable Userenv logging on the client, log in
verify you did not get the policies, do whatever you have to do to make the
policies apply. Repost with that Userenv.log and the name of the user
account you are testing with. Also be more specific as far as what
configured policies are not applying and see if the clients are reporting
any Userenv errors in the application event log.
