win2k/DVD/decoder

I just upgraded to win2k from win98, now I can't play
any DVD's. Msg: "Decoder not compatable w/win2k"
Have looked all over the web trying to find one w/ no
luck. Any help will be much appreciated!!

What about trying the vendor of the Win98 version?

been there, done that, no luck (I don't want to have to
PAY for one).

There are some free decoders and player with DVD decoders. You can try one
of these. But don't expect Dolby Digital, DTS etc. from these free apps. One

go to www.dvdrhelp.com and download the k-lite codec pack it has all
you need in it but uncheck BSplayer in the setup
