dvd decoder

My husband and I are trying to figure out why our DVD
player is not working. It is saying something about a dvd
decoder and we have no idea. We have tried re-installing
the software to try to find the DVD software, but we are
not successful. PLEASE HELP!!!

You will need some software like PowerDVD or WinDVD. Google for these.
Both are shareware so you can try before buying.

It usually comes on a separate CD or may be part of an Applications Recovery
CD. It is NOT included in Windows 2000 itself.

Look amongst your CD collection... the two most common ones are Intervideo's
WinDVD and Cyberlink's PowerDVD.
