A Windows 2000 computer does not show any of the 4 Win98SE
computers in My Network Places. All the Win98 computers
show the Windows 2000 computer in their Network Neighborhoods.
What causes this?
Both the Win98SE and Win2000 computers connect to the
Internet without problem (using tcp/ip).
The Win98SW boxes use ipx/spx-compatible protocol for the
peer to peer networking. The Win2000 box shows a slightly
different name for the protocol:
NWLink IPX/SPX/NetBios Compatible Transport Protocol
When I boot the Win2000 box into Win98SE (it has a form of
dual boot using System Commander) it immediately shows all
the Win98SE computers in the Network Neighborhood screen.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Jerry
