Am a Newbie to XP. Can't figure why the op system install cd says "Windows XP Home Edition SP1a". Checking my system over and find it reads SP1 not the SP1a. Question is why did the manufacture send what I can't find.

Hi,

SP1 and SP1a are the same thing, except the latter does not have the java
machine. This change was made necessary by court order.
